Use Your Words…
My name is Abigail. This is my blog and these are my words. You should read what I write because it will make us both happy, wealthy, and wise. Though I talk to myself pretty regularly (and I’m a fantastic listener) I’ve found I don’t like to blog to myself.
Here’s what I do like: I like sitting down with a good dog and walking my books. I like finding the funny in things and laughing until I cry. I like art projects and retro anything. I like coffee and tea. I like gentlemanly acts. I like getting letters from friends. I like chocolate, jewelery, thai food, flannel sheets, and lavender.
And guess what? I like writing!
OH. MY. WORDS.
I like sitting down with a good dog and walking my books. Ha! That’s pretty funny stuff 🙂
thanks! 😉
OMG – are you ME? You just described so many of my traits when defining your self. I wash my sheets in lavender rinse to enjoy a frantic nights sleep in a soothing wrap. Love art and have a thousand undusted books to prove it. Chocolate is my prophet (devoted a post to it’s shocking absence 2 days ago) I like your writing! Congratulations on being Freshly Pressed today, too! People will enjoy discovering you…funny, too. We can all use that lift!

you have great tastes! 😉 So glad you discovered me!
Loved that quote. And i too adore letters. Sigh. The Internet killed it.
Love your “about me..” it reveals how unique, funny, talented and interesting you are. You have a very cute perspective. Enjoyed your latest post.. you have a very cute perspective. I’ll stay tuned!

aw shucks! Thanks for all the compliments! Yes, please do stay tuned 🙂
Ok, now I’m positive we are long lost twins! You’ve just picked yourself up another reader!!
YAY!! I’m so glad to have you as a reader! And who knows? Maybe we’re related but not related (like an It Takes Two kind of thing, if you know what I mean).
Love this “about me” page! Your comment about getting letters from friends is a gem. I love to write (with pen and typing). In fact, I put this on my 2011 bucket list because I want to make it a priority: to physically write MORE to friends and family. I especially love to send greeting cards (birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, new baby, etc.) It’s truly a lost art, but a few of us will keep it alive! 🙂
Happy blogging!
Nicole
That’s a great 2011 bucket list goal! Yes, I love sending cards and tend to stock up. It’s nice to know that others still appreciate this cheery tradition!
I love getting letters from friends too! I try to send letters/updates to friends also, so that I can receive letters from them. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.
My grandma always says that you have to send letters to get them! I think it’s a guilt thing. But yes, you’re right, it doesn’t always work.
I absolutely love your blog! Your blog posts bring a smile to my face. I really love your wonderful sense of humor! I had to subscribe! Keep up the excellent blogging!:)
Thanks so much! It’s comments like yours that bring a smile to MY face!
When you walk your books, do you let them off the leash?
I like the idea of them going out for a good run!
Sure, all books need a good run once in a while! haha
And unlike my dogs, my books can run offleash…
GOOD ONE! I felt like I was reading about myself except I don’t like dogs or a lavender.
I love sitting with a good dog. I do it all the time. I’ve tried to actually walk him before – silly me. If I just add water and soap, his dead weight on the end of the leash would seem helpful.
Just wanted to check in and say that I really enjoy your writing. Our lives would rarely collide in the real world, but I’m glad that mine collided with your writings online. I’ll check back in often!
I’m glad we “collided” too! It means a lot that you enjoyed my writing! 🙂

Hey, I’m so glad I spotted you on the Freshly Pressed page…I love your style and your choice of content, but even more than that, I love that you’re in SF, where I also am! Relevance!
Yes, yes, yes!
And… finally… yes.
All these comments just add to your fabulousness (the computer prompted me to change that to nebulousness!) I’m going to start framing the letters you send me. They clearly should not be in the same stack as all the rest 🙂
No, they clearly deserve their own stack. Hmmm, I’ll have to send you more so that it’s actually a stack…
Maybe I’m fabuous and nebulous? 🙂
I have mentioned you on my blog today. Come check it out! 🙂
